New trends in systems for payments for digital content

This diploma thesis is focused on new trends in payment systems for digital content. In the introductory chapter are briefly described the current types of electronic payment systems. The next part of the thesis introduces a foreign research studies and compares their results with results of the questionnaire survey conducted within the frame of the thesis. The following chapters are devoted to Czech and foreign electronic payment systems, focusing on the sale of digital content, the general development of the Czech micropayment systems and comparison of functionalities of the payment systems in order to compose a summary of recommendations for selected individuals involved in the field of electronic commerce. Following parts of this thesis are focused on the identification of the main trends in charging for Czech and foreign media content and presentation of the results of the questionnaire survey. The core of the work is to identify the main problems of the development of electronic payment systems, the identification of new trends in the pricing of media content and the summary of recommendations for the selected entities in the area of electronic commerce according to the knowledge gained in the diploma thesis.
The Comparison of News Values within text concerning handicapped and non-handicapped sport

Presented in this bachelor thesis is a qualitative analysis that is focused on the comparison of news values, in relation to athletes with a disability and athletes without a disability, in articles published in Mlada Fronta DNES (a Czech newspaper) at the time of the 2008 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing. In addition, the further analysis will be done, of the news values that are given to Olympians and the values given to Paralympians, and whether these preferences are reflected in the overall presentation of both groups of athletes. It can be concluded that the articles about the Paralympics are shorter, more vague and overall of a much lower standard than their Olympic counterparts. Indeed the reader does not have to get full picture of how the games went, who won, who lost, and why and how the athletes lived in Beijing. The Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing are the most recent top athletic events that can be compared in terms of news coverage. It is on purpose that the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Vancouver (2010) are overlooked, as even though they are more current, there are major differences between the numbers of athletes and sports, which, in terms of news coverage, make them incomparable. Who are the producers and consumers of media content published on the Twitch platform

Due to the rise of technological convergence, the production of media content is currently available to anyone with befitting means. The situation is no different in the area of streaming and video games. This diploma thesis is focusing on producers and consumers of media content streamed on the video platform Twitch. This platform enables their users, if they dispose of quality internet and sufficient hardware, to produce real time streamed media content on nearly professional level. Hundreds of millions of viewers are watching Twitch monthly and this thesis is trying to introduce the very streamers of media content on this platform, their success and failure, while monitoring their viewership.
Evolution of computer magazines by example of Softwarové noviny

The thesis "Evolution of computer magazines by example of Softwarové noviny" deals with the Czech media scene of computer magazines. First part of it takes a glimpse at the history of world computer journalism and a closer look at the history of Czech computer journalism, describes its inception and first periodicals of its kind. The second part takes the example of the monthly Softwarové noviny and observes changes that it went through since its birth in 1991. Results of content analysis are used for describing the changes.

The presented thesis 'Economic Policy in Parliament election context in 2017' is describing the media image of successful political parties prior to the elections to the Chamber of Deputies in Czech Republic in October 2017. Mass media act as an intermediator of contact between the political parties or politicians themselves and voters and they have a crucial impact on the party's public appearance and image that is being presented. Especially during the pre-election period are media concerned about the political actions, decisions and election programs. The analysis is focused on the media attention and media space dedicated to the electoral and political topics. Chosen newspapers are Hospodářské noviny and Lidové noviny that represent serious approach in reporting the news. The method of quantitative content analysis allows to show the media space given, describe the type, format and main focus of the texts published. The diploma thesis describes also the political communication according to the theory of the political business cycles. The method of quantitative content analysis benefits from using a large scale of data and showing relevant conclusions at the same time.

The bachelor thesis "Media reflexion czech contemporary architecture in czech periodical" deals with research media representation contemporary czech architecture in daily newspapers Pravo, Lidove noviny and periodical Reflex in the period from 1st January to 31st December 2012 and 2016. The theoretical part of this thesis explains media concepts, describes concept of representation and stereotype represantion. Next part of this thesis deals with subject of contemporary architecture, focus on status of architecture in society and also on the relationship of architecture and media. In partical part, first, I Introduce to the metod of quantitative content analysis, then I explain the procedure of reaserch. Then I presents the results of the reaserch and their interpretation. The evaluation of reaserch data I reply reaserch questions and partly disclaims the hypothesis. User habits of smartphone owners in terms of consumption of media content

The thesis "User habits of smartphone owners in terms of consumption of media content" aims to expertly uncover a deeper description of user habits of today's smartphone users, and focus primarily on aspects of the consumption of media content on these devices, such as applications, games, web browsing, news, audiovisual content and social networks. The purpose is to give a complete picture of today's smartphone users as consumers of new technological media and to reveal the spectrum of influence that these smartphones have on their users, whether in positive or negative connotations. Using the methods of qualitative research interviews were conducted with representatives of the younger users of smartphones, specifically from Generation Y. The result of the investigation was to identify and describe on what media content representatives of this generation consume on their smartphones and how they reflect their own smartphone usage. It has been shown that most young people interact with their surroundings through social networks on smartphones and also that some of them would be hardly able to live without them, although they were aware of strong smartphones impact on themselves and their broader cultural environment.
Analysis of the contents of the weekly magazine 5+2 days between 2012 and 2013

Abastract The thesis called Analysis of The 5+2 Days Weekly Magazine between 2012 and 2013 in its empiric part looks into the contents structure, its preferred topics and ratios of stories and cases from the defined parametres point of view throughout the period beginning the foundation of the magazine to the parliamentary elections held in October 2013. The analysis deals with the issue of presentation of the Agrofert holding as the magazine is its part and Andrej Babiš from his position of an owner and chairman of a political movement ANO he led to the snap parliamentary elections in 2013. The analysis examines if the fact that its owner is an enterpreneur, owner of one of the bigest Czech companies and a high-ranking politician has any impact on the contents of the magazine. The method used to analyse the contents is quantitative contents analysis. In its theoretical part the paper deals with basic social roles and functions of the media, concepts of free speech and independence of the media. This part of the thesis sees these concepts mainly from the ownership of the media point of view and the ownership's impact on their contents and function. The theoretical part also presents a review of the Czech media environment development after 2008 from the change of the ownership point of view.
